In 2022 we organized a joint exhibition project with the Taiwan Design Research Institute where the goal is to showcase both local and international brands and companies that focuses on implimenting circular design into their products. We used “ the Spiral“ as inspiration, drawing from the foundation of accumulated experiences to manifest how the business models and systematic thinking of circular design can overcome obstacles and open up possibilities for the future.
SPIRAL means continuous rotation on a unified axis, with its form ranging from a 2 to 3 dimension, progressively expanding and advancing, forming a circular and rotational evolution of energy, matter, and consciousness along a chronological axis.
The exhibition has three main parts: SPOT, ECHO, and 360. We strive to guide the viewers through the exhibit through enticing visuals that provoke thought and introspection to both educate and inspire.
Through incorporating an immersive experience and an acousto-optic device, "An Electronic Monster #3 - On the Hour," along with a silent countdown to the year 2030, visitors are fully immersed in the exhibit, thereby comprehending the present ecological challenges.
"ECHO - Solution Proposal" arises from everyday life and market scenes. Outdoor marketspace, home space, office space, and life outside space comprise the four central cores of themed settings.
"ECHO - Cultivating possibilities" utilizes the "Accenture Five Circular Business Model" made by the international consulting agency Accenture as its basis to invite various Taiwan R&D and manufacturing organizations to participate in this event. By categorizing and organizing these diverse objects, the area is split into four sections: life, industry, service, and pandemic.
「360° - Global Collaboration」 invites the public and private sectors of Denmark, Germany, Japan, and Thailand to partake in this exhibit. Based on the spirit of sharing, the communal table links Taiwan to the world. Using the local circular products featured in this exhibit and ceremoniously displaying them on the table, local creativity and human interactions are linked and reflected against the different countries on display.
